When should I plan to arrive on campus?

Fall 2009 new students should arrive on Monday, August 31, 2009. Classes begin on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. You will receive more details as these dates approach.

Can I arrive earlier than that?

Students are not allowed to move in earlier than the New Student Arrival dates.

When will I find out my housing assignment and roommate?

Fall 2009 housing assignments will be emailed to you in July. You will be notified of the residence hall to which you have been assigned as well as your roommate(s) name, address and phone number.

What size are the mattresses at Cornerstone?

We provide extra long, twin size mattresses in all residence halls.

How do I get a job on campus?

Complete an "On-campus Job Application" and return it to Career Services at 1001 East Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI  49525.  To find out more about campus employment click here.  To download a campus job application click here.

I have questions about health insurance - who should I contact?

The Health Services Office requires all new students to submit their health forms (green) prior to their arrival on campus. You should have received health insurance information in your acceptance packet. However, if you have misplaced your health form or have more detailed questions, contact the Health Services Office at 616-222-1441.

When do tuition payments begin?

There are 3 payment options(one of these plans must be in place by August 1/January 1 or a late fee will be added):
1) The 4-month payment plan which divides the payments for the semester into 4 monthly payments that are due on the first of each month beginning on August 1/January 1.
2) The pay-in-full option allows for you to pay for the entire semester prior to the beginning of the semester.  This payment deadline is August 1/January 1.
3) The "financial aid will cover" option is for any students who has enough financial aid (scholarship, grants, and loans) to cover the entire cost of the semester.

I still have not received a bill - what do I do?

If you have been accepted, submitted your tuition deposit, and have registered for classes but have not yet received a bill for the semester, contact your personal Admissions Counselor at 1-800-787-9778.

How can I make a change in my class schedule?

If you need to make a change in your class schedule, contact your personal Admissions Counselor at 1-800-787-9778.  Transfer Students who have already registered for classes should contact their academic advisor directly.

When will I receive my laptop?

Laptop distribution will occur on your arrival day.
