Danika Sweazey

Willmar, Minn.

Senior

Major: English Education

I enjoy leaving voicemails. I am a lover of caffeine... some may call it idolatry, but those that do, I smite. I love rocking chairs. I hate cats. My favorite TV show is Friends and the smelling of delicious old books is a favorite past time.

Matt Haller

Albion, Mich.

Senior

Major: Communication Studies

If I could do one thing the rest of my life and be paid for it I would take someone out for coffee and a good conversation every day. I am the Lead RA for VanOsdel Hall, which doesn’t make me less fun (I promise), and I can’t help but enjoy the simple things in life…things like McDonald’s Coke, a pair of GAP Jeans, or a movie night with the guys.

Kyle Szucs

Zeeland, Mich.

Junior

Major: Secondary English Education

I’m a bass playing nut who tries his best at everything. I love sports (especially hockey), playing music, and getting involved with activities around my community. My hair is red and it occasionally shines in the wind.

Shelbyville, Mich.

Major: English

I lived down south this summer leading mission trips for youth and there I met a new love... sweet tea! If y'all want to get on my good side, grab an ice-cold glass filled to the brim and we'll find a front porch and talk. During the school year if you are looking for me on any given Saturday, you will discover me writing papers at a local coffee shop. I love painting pictures with words and telling stories. Bedtime stories are my specialty!

Kayla Brown

Mesilla Park, New Mexico

Sophomore

Major: Contemporary Christian Music

After a long week of cramming my head with overloads of information, I enjoy curling up on my bed and watching a movie. Most of my friends have called me crazy at one point in time, which is probably a correct assessment. I enjoy being a little goofy from time to time and taking advantage of every breath given to me. I hail from New Mexico and am sure I would love long walks on the beach if I got to experience one every once in a while.

Nate Langel

Remsen, Iowa

Sophomore

Major: Bible/Intercultural Studies

I love my wife. I'm interested in breakfast, lunch, dinner, Lord of the Rings, C.S. Lewis, schoolwork (occasionally), Peanuts Comics, geeky computer stuff, loud music, pizza, ice cream, racquetball, and ultimate frisbee. I enjoy long walks on the beach and making sun tea.

Alyssa Dijkers

Commerce, Mich.

Freshman

Major: Psychology

My favorite activities include hanging with friends and family, getting to know people, and talking about life. My i-pod and a good book are steady companions. I believe that diet Pepsi can brighten any day. I’m often seen in an old gray sweatshirt that is far too loved to be thrown away.

Major: Media Studies - Film

I'm quite often referred to as quirky (in a good way though). I've lived outside of the U.S. for most of my life, so you might see me doing some strange things until I get used to the American culture, hopefully nothing to embarrassing though. When I have the time, I enjoy reading a good book, watching movies, and listening to my strange assortment of music. I have a strange sense of humor and a ready smile, I believe laughter is key in life even if you are laughing at yourself. And last, but certainly not least, I enjoy spending time with my friends.
