Stephen King on the Future of Books

Mystery writer Stephen King was asked if Google books, ebooks in general, and the new Kindle ebook reader specifically, will kill publishing—and traditional books with it! To which he replied: “EBooks and [traditional] books are not in conflict. They’re like peanut butter and chocolate. When you put them together you have a whole new taste.” Miller Library staff agrees: we value and continue to collect the printed book while also investing heavily in ebooks (some 35,000 of which are now searchable and readable from our online catalog).
