Alumni and Guest Services

Miller Library is pleased to offer guests and alumni of CU several online resources.

While many of the library’s resources are only available to current students and staff, such as the electronic databases (due to licensing restrictions), many other resources are available both in print and online, free of charge.

  • To promote Life Long Learning, Grand Rapids Theological Seminary has provided a wonderful gift to all alumni of either Cornerstone University or GRTS: free access to the excellent ATLA database of full-text journals in Bible, Ministry, and Theology—about 60 journals in all. Alumni are required to register by completing and submitting the following "Alumni Registration for ATLA" form. You will receive email confirmation with your password for free access.  Sorry, this is for alumni only. Also, please note: If you use AOL as your web-browser, you may not be able to access this database--ATLA recommends you download a free recent version of Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape.
  • Several Bible commentaries and other ministry-related resources are available free of charge over the Internet, and we have provided a link to many of these tools below.**
  • All Michigan residents have free access to many other amazing tools online, thanks to the Michigan Electronic Library (MeL). For example, WorldCat ( "the world’s largest catalog of books, videos, etc."), WilsonSelect (full-text articles from many subject areas), e-books from NetLibrary, about 100 newspapers, and much more are available for searching, free of charge. Simply log-on using your Michigan driver’s license number! Also try free universal access to WorldCat.org.
  • And, of course, all guests are welcome to visit Miller Library, and use its reference computers for searching databases, or check out books from its great collection using their local (Michigan) library card.
