Dr. Joe Stowell, president of Cornerstone University, will be a featured Bible teacher during RBC week Aug. 15 - Aug. 22 at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center in Muskegon, Mich.
RBC Ministries, formerly called Radio Bible Class, produces Our Daily Bread, a daily devotional that is translated into nearly 30 languages. The ministry partners with Maranatha each summer to present Bible teaching to vacationers. Dr. Stowell serves as a Ministry Partner with RBC, writing devotionals for Our Daily Bread in addition to his web ministry called Strength for the Journey, www.getmorestrength.org.
The year-round, Christian conference and resident community emphasizes Bible teaching, missions, prayer and evangelism. Conference programs are designed to encourage renewal, spiritual growth and relationship building.
Other speakers during the week will include: Mart De Haan, regularly heard on Discover the Word radio program and seen on Day of Discovery television; Bill Crowder, director of church ministries and director of publications for RBC; and Knute Larson, who served as pastor of The Chapel in Akron, Ohio, for more than 25 years is an author and the newest associate Bible teacher for RBC Ministries. Knute also serves as an adjunct professor for Moody, Trinity International University and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.
The week began Aug. 15 with a concert by long-time Discovery House musician, Damaris Carbaugh.
A special mid-week presentation will feature the team who works on the Day of Discovery television ministry. Campers will be given a behind the scenes look at producing the weekly 30-minute program and a sneak peek into upcoming broadcasts.
