Cornerstone University will host the 17th annual West Michigan Christian College Fair (WMCCF) featuring more than 50 Christian colleges and universities from across the United States Sept. 21.
“We strongly believe in the value of Christian higher education, and the fair allows us to partner with many different colleges, that share similar values, as we share this message with students and their families,” said Katie Rose, campus visit coordinator for Cornerstone.
Last year, Cornerstone hosted the event that attracted close to 1,000 visitors to the campus.
Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to speak to admissions representatives from each institution represented, as well as attend a half-hour financial aid seminar.
“College fairs are a great way to ‘visit’ many different schools in a short amount of time,” said Rose. “Very often, students may actually learn about colleges they might otherwise never have heard about.”
The free event will offer two sessions in the Hansen Athletic Center. The first will be from 12:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m. and the second will be from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
The fair is one of more than 100 National Christian College Fairs around the country sponsored by the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals every year.
Cornerstone University participates in various fairs across the Great Lakes region every year.
