The details, please, Mr. Whytock... |

So, how did you get from Canada to Cornerstone?
|
| Well, I went to a Christian high school and realized during this time that I enjoyed writing, and that I wanted to pursue writing in college. I had already decided that I wanted to leave home for university, and one of my older brothers was attending Kuyper College. This led me to look at universities in the Grand Rapids area. I wanted to go to a Christian school that offered a Creative Writing major and taught from a Biblical perspective. I ended up being accepted to Cornerstone and chose to attend CU for my undergraduate degree. So far it has been a great experience! |
What do you hope to do when you graduate?
|
After I graduate, perhaps I will become involved in publishing. I would like to become part of business that believes in applying the things learned in humanities studies to everyday life, in order to yield new insight and bring a new perspective to a situation. The humanities are important in our world because they provide both an outlet for our experience of the human condition, and an inlet for its meaning, which is ultimately found in God. Whatever I do when I graduate, I hope to take the knowledge and understanding that I will have gained with me into the world for a useful cause.
