How did you get from Kosovo to Cornerstone?
It's a long story - but to make it short, when God wants you to go somewhere He will provide, and he will lead you in the way you should go. My wife's family came to work in Kosovo, and we met there. We both wanted to come to the U.S. for college, but money was a concern. We found programs we were interested in here at CU, but couldn't afford the tuition. When CU offered us scholarships, we decided to go for it!
What do you hope to do with your business degree when you graduate?
When I graduate, Lord willing, I plan to return home to help direct the Kosovo Leadership Academy, a private school that my mother-in-law and some others are trying to start in my hometown.
What has God been teaching you lately?
God never stops teaching us new things, even though we don't always want to learn. My sister and mom were diagnosed with cancer. My mom has recovered and is doing great, but my sister is struggling, and the cancer has spread throughout her whole body. Being here and not being able to do anything to help her is extremely hard for me. God is teaching me that the only thing I can do now is trust Him, since He is in control. I'm praying for my sister's healing.

What is the best thing about CU?
One thing I love about CU is the closeness of the staff and students, and the professors' willingness to help in any way they can. Also, the business division at Cornerstone is fabulous. I am very blessed to be at such an amazing school!
What is one thing you would point out to students thinking about attending CU?
CU is a smaller university, which I think makes it easier to have close relationships with faculty, staff members and students.
