Age: 31 Major: Bible Hometown: Houston, TX Status: Commuter
Involvement at CU: Peter is an active participant in the stuff organized by commuter representatives. He also hangs out with other CU students that he has met through on-campus activities, and enjoys all of the cool (and free!) events that go on at Cornerstone...
Advice for future college students: "College is part of the transition into adulthood. Remember this fact: Responsibilities and expectations will be greater. Prepare your heart and mind for this, and know God is with us in the midst of it - always. Embrace growth...spiritually and mentally! Do not take higher learning for granted."

| Why are you at Cornerstone? |
I ended up here at CU through the encouragement and suggestions of mentors - for academic and ministry-related studies.

Tell us something important about yourself.

I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of my life in January, 2009. God has been so good and merciful to me. Nothing compares to His grace and love - nothing. Getting plugged into a community of believers has been integral for me, and through it I have experienced nurturing and growth. In discovering my spiritual gifts, I have desired to serve. Through these things, I was led here, to CU. We'll see where the Lord leads me next...

What do you like to do for fun?
|
I enjoy bicycling, traveling, new foods, discipleship, and the occasional video game.
|
What's your favorite thing about CU?
|
I've been so impressed by the professors here! They are so willing to be one-on-one with students, and let us into their lives. There is a level of vulnerability that develops as the relationship becomes more personal, but it’s so relieving—professors are people too, and I so appreciate this willingness to be close and humble.
|
What are your plans for after graduation?
|
I hope to be a teacher of God’s Word in some form, and perhaps play a more active role in discipleship & leadership—pastoring or counseling.
