How did you end up at CU?
I felt God's call to come to Cornerstone, and all of my financial circumstances worked out to come here! Also, right before I came to CU my freshman year, my mom passed away with cancer. While she was still living the softball coach came to Ohio and actually went to the hospital with me to meet my mother, since she wasn't able to travel to Michigan. This was a huge blessing to me, and showed me what I would see at Cornerstone: a loving community, where my coach and professors genuinely care about each student.
What is God teaching you?
He is teaching me discipline, and how I can use my testimony and life experiences to help others.
What do you hope to do when you graduate from Cornerstone?
I will hopefully work in an adoption agency or orphanage, mentoring children.
What do you do for fun?
I love sports, reading, video games, shopping and just having a good time in general.
What's your favorite thing about CU?
I love the Christian atmosphere, the amazing friends I have made, and the opportunities that Cornerstone offers to create community on our campus.
What one thing should all prospective college students know about the school selection process?
It's really easy to take colleges at their face value, but the key to finding a college is having a personal experience at at school. For example, visiting Cornerstone completely changed my mind about attending here. A student should know that Cornerstone encourages students to get involved, not only on campus, but in the church and in the local community of Grand Rapids.
