Confidential counseling is available to all undergraduate Cornerstone students who may struggle with issues due to stresses and challenges of life and the college experience. All services are Christ-centered, based upon unchanging biblical truth and highest professional standards.

Location: Verna Miller Hall (with Health Services)
Hours: Monday-Friday by appointment (closed during school breaks, including the summer months)
Cost: Full-time undergraduate and full-time GRTS students have a student insurance benefit which covers 10 sessions per school year with no out-of-pocket cost. If a full-time student needs more than 10 sessions, an affordable fee of $0-$20 per session, based upon the student’s ability to pay, will be arranged. PGS and part-time students may access counseling services for a flat fee of $20.00 per session.

Crisis
A counselor is on call 24/7 during the school year to help with mental health emergencies.
- Call 911 for life-threatening emergencies. After calling 911, contact Campus Safety at 616.949.5300 for additional assistance and help directing emergency responders to you.
- If you are a parent or a friend calling from outside the Grand Rapids area, you may call our Campus Safety Office at 616.949.5300. They will call the local 911 and respond to the emergency.
- Contact your Resident Assistant, the Resident Assistant on duty in your hall or your Resident Director.
- If you can't locate a Community Life staff member or you live off campus, call the university Switchboard/Campus Safety ("0" from on-campus or 616.949.5300 from off-campus).
