On Friday, Oct. 22, Gerson Moreno-Riaño, Ph.D., officially became Cornerstone University’s 12th president. This marked an important day for us as a university as Dr. Moreno Riaño accepted his role at Cornerstone and we began our next chapter. We invited our entire community to join us in celebrating and witnessing this transformational event.
Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño is passionate about faithfully leading and serving the LORD in all things. In his Inaugural Gala speech given on Saturday, Oct. 23, Moreno-Riaño outlined some of his plans for Cornerstone University and how we will become the destination of choice for Christian higher education. He also discussed how Cornerstone is and will continue to be a community that welcomes everyone and is committed to the absolute truth of the gospel.
Dr. Moreno-Riaño has worked in Christian higher education for over 20 years. He plans to bring both his passion and vision for what Cornerstone can be to his role, all while building on the firm foundation the university already stands upon.
