About Marty

Dr. Marty Marra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Calvin College, Bachelor of Science degree from Cornerstone University and her Masters of Physical Education Pedagogy from Western Michigan University. She received her Doctoral degree from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama in the area of Sports Management.

Dr. Marra is the Physical Education methods course instructor and supervises intern teachers who are majoring in Physical Education and Health. She also is the coordinator of the "Total Fitness and Wellness" courses required of all Freshmen who attend Cornerstone University.

Dr. Marra is a committed Christian who has dedicated her life and career to following Jesus Christ. Everything she does is based on His Word and the work of Jesus Christ. Students who study under Dr. Marra will be trained both academically and spiritually in all their coursework and life experiences.

Dr. Marra retains membership in SHAPE America, SHAPE Michigan, and Christian Society of Kinesiology & Leisure Studies (CSKLS) in Grand Rapids, MI. She also networks with other PETE colleagues from various universities and colleges to increase her awareness of current issues as well as remains involved in all areas of Education related to Title IX, Physical Education/Teacher Education and Health.
