The Business Division equips you to thrive through dynamic courses, interaction with the Grand Rapids business community, international study opportunities and a solid faculty who bring their experience right into the classroom.

As a student in the Humanities Division, you will further develop essential qualities to influence world cultures for Christ—qualities such as critical thinking, creativity, communication skills, cross-cultural competency, and a deep understanding of both the glory and depravity in modern culture. Beyond mastering a breadth of content, you'll graduate equipped to act as a redemptive influence.

Communication & Media

Through studies in a range of applied disciplines within communication and digital media art forms, you will develop into an informed storyteller of excellence and influence. The division exists to equip and mentor students to engage the marketplace of ideas in strategic and creative ways as skilled professionals and agents of reconciliation who seek to influence their culture.

Bible, Religion & Ministry

Professors in the Division of Bible, Religion & Ministry will equip you to interpret Scripture, design an interactive curriculum, translate ancient documents, develop cultural intelligence, and lead a ministry toward health. In addition to learning from faculty members who hold the highest academic degrees available in their respective fields, four year plans provide you with the flexibility to complement your studies with a second major.

Teacher Education

The Teacher Education Division is passionate about preparing our students to serve as highly qualified teachers in public, Christian or overseas schools by developing the knowledge, skills and Christian character to enable them to be servant leaders who are influencers in their world for Jesus Christ. Graduates of the Teacher Education Division influence culture as highly qualified, professional teachers in public, private, and international schools.

Social Science

Faculty members in the Social Science Division integrate faith and learning into the framework of each course. As a student, your degree program will stretch you to integrate research-driven studies of human behavior with a biblical perspective of human nature. You will continuously connect your learning to real-world situations through class projects, experiential learning, volunteer activities, learning labs, and field placements.
