Viewing creation holistically.

The integrated science for secondary teachers major provides a solid foundation for teaching physical and biological science courses. This major provides a route toward Michigan certification to teach integrated science, general science, science, biology, chemistry, physics, earth/space science and physical science for grades 7 through 12. This major is combined with a minor in any other teaching discipline, but is often strongest with a minor in chemistry or biology.

Program Distinctives

Science at Cornerstone is taught from the point of view that we can learn more about our Creator by studying and caring for his creation. While God's inspired word (the Bible) is the ultimate authority for all truth, his creation also provides us a window to glimpse his creativity, wisdom and beauty. After completing this hands-on and challenging program, you will be well equipped to help middle and high school students encounter God by learning about the things he has made.
