Audition for a Music Scholarship

At Cornerstone University, we want to recognize your musical achievements and abilities. That's why we offer music scholarships to all new freshman and transfer students—not just music majors—in varying amounts.

Specific guidelines must be followed when auditioning for a music scholarship or for music program acceptance. Guidelines can be found on the Audition Requirements web page.

Music Majors

If you are a music major, you have the opportunity to be considered for a music scholarship, after completing the items below.

  1. Apply and be admitted to Cornerstone.
  2. Complete the Music Major Day Registration and Scholarship Application. Attend Music Major Day to audition for program acceptance and scholarships on Feb. 8, 2019. You must be admitted to Cornerstone prior to this day in order to audition.

If you are unable to attend the Music Major Day, complete the scholarship application process for non-music majors. You will still need to complete a live audition for music program acceptance during your jury exam in December of your first semester. For specific guidelines, review our audition requirements.

Non-Music Majors

If you are a non-music major, or if you are a music major unable to attend the Music Major Day, you have the opportunity to be considered for a music scholarship after completing the items below. Scholarship applications must be received by Feb. 1.

  1. Apply and be admitted to Cornerstone.
  2. Submit the Non-Music Major Scholarship Application. As part of the Non-Music Major Scholarship Application, you will be asked to include a scholarship audition video. All scholarship audition videos should be recorded and uploaded to either YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive and should follow the audition requirements for your desired instrument. Links to all videos must be supplied on the Non-Music Major Scholarship Application.
