More about Aulbrie:

Have you completed an internship?

Yes, with Pambazuka News as a reporter in Nairobi, Kenya.  I also have just been provided the opportunity to intern for the CEO of Make-A-Wish in Charlotte, NC this summer!

What are your career aspirations?

My dream job is to work for a non-profit organization.

Why did you choose CU?

I felt that without a doubt, it is where God wanted me to be.

Favorite professor:

Kathy Sindorf

Involvements/leadership positions:

Counselor Assistant in the Admissions office. I also was a student senator, attend a Bible study and go to most campus wide activities.

Share a fun fact about you:

I rode an Ostrich in Kenya, then ate its brother.

How do you like to spend your free time?

With friends either shopping, cooking or just hanging out.

How would you describe community life at CU?

It's the best! I've made some of my closest friends at CU.

What did God teach you last semester?

That He is constant. No matter where I go, He is there and when everything is unfamiliar, He remains the same.

What’s your favorite thing about CU?

The community life.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

I love to sit under this one certain tree by the pond. It's so peaceful.

What are you looking forward to most about the new school year?

Seeing my friends again after being abroad this semester!

What was your favorite thing about Terra Firma?

The relationships that I made. I instantly had friends and if we didn't have Terra Firma, I think those first few weeks would've been very lonely.

Many students are shocked by the sticker price of CU. How has financial aid helped make CU a possibility for you?

For me, CU was the least expensive school I looked at because of the aid I received. Scholarships made it possible for me!

Have you done a study Abroad experience?

Yes! I did a J-Term in Italy and a semester in Kenya. I would absolutely encourage other students to study abroad. I learned so much about myself and about others and have made friends that will last a lifetime. My favorite aspect of both trips has been the fact that I went so far out of my comfort zone, yet did so many amazing things that changed my life. I think everyone should study abroad.
