Asia Biblical Theological Seminary

By Joe Stowell on July 18, 2014

I recently returned from visiting our seminary, the Asia Biblical Theological Seminary, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where I had the honor of participating in the installation of their new dean, Jim Blumenstock.

As I met and talked with the faculty at ABTS, I was so impressed with their passion to provide much-needed biblical and theological training to national church pastors and leaders. Over 140 students have been mentored this year by our outstanding faculty who travel to take the training to the students who are from the places like the Philippines, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Singapore, Papua New Guinea, South Korea, Australia, India, Hong Kong and eventually in China.

Cornerstone claims to be a university with "a passion for global influence through the transforming power of the gospel" so the thought that we are working on the Asia Rim where the Holy Spirit is so active in building the church is one among many reasons why I love serving here at CU!
