Dynamic DiversityBy Joe Stowell on April 27, 2017
One of the unique blessings of serving at Cornerstone is the joy of experience the dynamic diversity that God has brought to our campus.
This year it has been a joy to have Mordecai Njoroge, a student from Kenya, as a part of our student body. When you watch this video, you'll know why I find our students so inspiring!
“Embrace your ‘smallness in light of God’s greatness and live with more meaning than you have ever dreamed possible because God is looking for ordinary people to play significant roles in His story.” -Louie Giglio It was a blessing working with you Mordecai Njoroge... Mordecai's home church in Africa made it their mission to train men and women to become influencers in this world for Jesus Christ...sounds familiar! Here at CU, we share the same mission. And that is exactly what brought Mordecai to our campus. I am so glad God led Mordecai to CU to grow academically and spiritually as part of our community. After his time at Cornerstone, Mordecai has plans to return to Kenya to impact that country for Christ.
Like Mordecai, we all have an opportunity to live an incredible story—His story. And this campus is filled with passionate, godly students who participate in God's unfolding plan for their life and for this world.
Incidentally, this video was shot by Dhiraj Adhikari, a media student from Nepal. You may recall that I featured him in an earlier "Why I Love It Here" post. Dhiraj's dad pastors a church in Nepal and advances Christ's kingdom in an often hostile context.
Inspirational stories of students like Mordecai and Dhiraj are just another reason...why I love it here!
