Cornerstone University Board of Trustees Elects Jennifer McCormick-Bridgewater As Its Newest Member
The board of trustees of Cornerstone University is pleased to announce the appointment to the board of Jennifer McCormick-Bridgewater (M.Div. ’20).
McCormick-Bridgewater received a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Divinity from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. At present, she plans to pursue a doctoral degree in biblical studies.
After receiving a degree in engineering, she served as a campus staff member for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and as a director of operations for a faith-based nonprofit. In the course of her involvement in these ministry opportunities, she felt called to further her training in biblical studies which she did at GRTS. She currently serves as an adjunct professor for Cornerstone’s Bible, Religion & Ministry Division.
McCormick-Bridgewater gladly welcomes the opportunity to serve Cornerstone in a new way and to provide her insights to the board that she has gleaned both as a student and an adjunct professor.
“I am honored to join the board of trustees of Cornerstone,” she said. “Cornerstone’s mission to develop women and men who build lives that matter and who engage this broken world in ways that are just and gracious is so needed. I look forward to serving Cornerstone with my fellow trustees and the rest of the university community as we seek to further this vision.”
McCormick-Bridgewater lives in Grand Rapids with her husband, Khary, and their three children.
