Cornerstone University Student Chosen for the Enactus Student Advisory Committee

News Nov. 1, 2016

Cornerstone University business finance student Katrina Lee (B.S. ’18) is exploring leadership, scholarship and service in a whole new way this year. As a member of Cornerstone Enactus, Katrina has served as a project leader for the Cornerstone University Enactus team, a member of the Enactus Presentation team and the vice president of Enactus projects.

For the 2016-17 academic year, Katrina was chosen to serve as a member of the Enactus Student Advisory Committee. The Enactus Student Advisory Committee (SAC) consists of current Enactus USA students that work as a channel of communication between the Enactus student body and the national organization as a whole. The Enactus SAC advises Enactus staff on a variety of matters, including programming, management and operations. In addition, the Enactus SAC assists Enactus USA staff with student recruitment and alumni relations.

As a member of the committee, Katrina traveled to Bentonville, Ark., to visit the headquarters of Walmart, a leading corporate sponsor of Enactus. The Enactus SAC will participate in a meeting at the Walmart home office, attend the Enactus Partner Summit and network with other Enactus corporate sponsors such as Ford, Unilever, Bic and PepsiCo. These experiences provide unique cross-generational leadership experiences that place emphasis on networking and peer learning opportunities.

Katrina says, “I am very excited and honored to be a member of the Enactus SAC. Not only am I excited about learning more about Enactus so that I can help to make our team better, but I am very excited to give my input and help to make Enactus USA even better than it already is.

“Enactus has impacted me in a big way, and I want to help make sure that it impacts many more people.”
