More about David:

What are your career aspirations?

I’d like to work for a large company overseas.

Why did you choose CU?

For the close community and the location in Grand Rapids.

Involvements/leadership positions:

I am a Resident Assistant at Quincer for the first time. I have had several jobs on campus at admissions and with the grounds department.

Share a fun fact about you:

I grew up playing soccer and always wanted to play professionally.

How do you like to spend your free time?

With friends, working out, watching movies, or combining those together.

How would you describe community life at CU?

It’s close enough that you feel at home, but not too overwhelming that you still have some space.

What did God teach you last semester?

He taught me that you cannot really plan away your life at college, even though everyone is telling you that you need a plan to how far you get in life. You’ll get there when you get there.

What’s your favorite thing about CU?

Quincer Hall. I made friends for life at Quincer, it’s unlike anything else.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

The baseball field.

What are you looking forward to most about the new school year?

Getting to know the new incoming freshman and discovering Grand Rapids a little more.

What was your favorite thing about Terra Firma?

It was a program that brought you security when you were still new and lost, it was very helpful.

How has Student Financial Services helped make CU a possibility for you?

I wouldn’t have come to CU if were not for the huge financial support that the school offered me, most schools do not give this much aid.

Why you recommend students get involved on campus?

I played many different intramural sports. It’s always good to get involved with things on campus because it begins to make Cornerstone feel like home.

Why did you choose your major?

I chose my major because the world that we live in today is run by money and business, and I believe that Christians need to get involved in business to guide it towards the things that glorify Christ.
