Cornerstone University will confer 748 diplomas to its graduating students this weekend May 2-3, breaking last year’s graduation record for undergraduates.
Traditional undergraduate students comprise 261 of the total graduates, beating the previous high of 240 in 2008.
The ceremony for undergraduate students will be held at 10 a.m., May 3 in the Hansen Athletic Center. Donald Perini, M.F.A., associate professor of ministry and creativity, will address the students as the keynote speaker for the ceremony.
The 748 diplomas will be received by graduates in three ceremonies beginning Friday, May 2 with the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary commencement.
GRTS will confer 72 diplomas during the ceremony with keynote speaker Dr. Michael E. Wittmer, professor of systematic theology, giving the commencement address.
The commencement address at the Professional & Graduate Studies Program will be delivered by Sandra K. Upton, D.S.L., dean of business programs. PGS will confer 270 undergraduate degrees and 143 graduate degrees, following the undergraduate ceremony at 3 p.m.
