GRTS Holds "Exploring Seminary" Event

Grand Rapids Theological Seminary will hold a summer event, "Exploring Seminary" from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 24 at the campus to assist students in pursuing a calling and refining ministry skills.

“We will explore the big-picture questions like, 'why go to seminary in the first place?,' 'How will it help me?'” said Graham McKeague, director of admissions at GRTS.

"Exploring Seminary" is for anyone who has considered serving as a leader in ministry -  a pastor, a counselor, a campus minister or even a lay leader in a church.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a summer-style dinner and will include a devotional by a seasoned ministry leader, Rev. Dr. Royce Evans, director of the Urban Ministry Cohort at GRTS.

Attendees will be able to take part in sessions to learn about specifics of the seminary program and how it can help them pursue their calling.

In addition, prospective students will be able to sit in on a GRTS class.
