Cornerstone students from around the world will share their family traditions tonight from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Corum on campus.
The free event, sponsored by the Multi Cultural Organization on campus, is a Christmas event with entertainment, food served by a serving team and tables with various family traditions.
“It’s not just about seeing what other countries traditionally do to celebrate Christmas, but what other families do, too,” said Minga Ndjerareo, advisor to the organization on campus. “Even Americans have culture and should participate. We are inclusive in all our activities and want to invite everyone on campus to this Christmas event.”
In addition to chocolate fondue, hot chocolate, cheesecake and coffee, a student will perform ballet from The Nutcracker and a Gospel Choir will end the night with songs.
Throughout the year the MCO has a variety of activities to expose students to various cultures around the world.
