Together for the City with Tim Keller and City to City
More than half the world's population lives in urban areas. Tokyo has 38 million people. Shanghai has 23 million. Lagos has grown to nearly 10 million in less than a decade. It's estimated that two-thirds of people will live in cities by 2050.
As cities grow, so does the need for more urban churches. At Together for the City, Tim Keller, founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, will talk about his passion for cities and why he is devoting the rest of his life to investing in future ministry leaders who will work to spread the gospel to city dwellers around the world.
We will also hear about a new book, written by church planters Neil Powell and John James, titled "Together for the City." The book tells the story of a group of leaders from across denominations who came together in a brand new way, creating a vision for their city called 2020birmingham.
This event is for pastors and ministry leaders who are working together for the spread of the gospel in their cities.
Tickets will be on sale online until Sept. 19 at 9 a.m. On the day of the event, all remaining tickets will be available for sale at the door beginning at noon.
