The secondary education major at Cornerstone is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), so you will graduate confident in your future. Choose from a variety of concentrations, from English to mathematics, and bring your passion for teaching to life. Graduates from the secondary education program go on to inspire classes year after year. Our program will prepare you for fulfilling work as a teacher, no matter where you teach. You will be empowered with experience, knowledge and spiritual discipline to become a leader in education.

Careers

Graduates from our secondary education program find themselves in teaching roles at a variety of schools and education settings. You will graduate with the resources you need to pass the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC).

Internships

As a secondary education student, you will have the opportunity to student teach during your time at Cornerstone. With the guidance of Cornerstone’s teaching faculty, you will be connected with an area school where you can continue your training as a teacher.
