Creative Writing

Tell stories that are creative, thoughtful and meaningful. God has given you the gift to write and create. Our creative writing major is designed to cultivate that gift and bring it to fruition. In this degree program, you’ll be trained to stretch your horizons by writing publishable content in fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction and more.

Study Abroad Opportunities

As a Humanities Division student, you will have the opportunity to study abroad in places such as Ireland, Ecuador, France, Italy, Kosovo, Oxford, South Africa and Spain.

Humanities Division Annual Seminar

The Humanities Division provides students from all academic divisions with an annual seminar to discuss topics such as an era of poetry or influential thinkers. This seminar experience also includes an opportunity to study abroad in Oxford, England.

Breathe Christian Writers Conference

You can also participate in the Breathe Christian Writers Conference where you will network with and learn from, editors and writing professionals.

My professors inspire me both academically and personally, being understanding, knowledgeable and equipping us with tools and skills to change our lives both now and in the future. I am a different person than I was when I came, and the growth I’ve gone through because of the community and professors is something I’m so grateful for.
