Registrar's Office

The Registrar’s Office at Cornerstone University exists to help guide students as they make decisions about their degree programs and their futures. This office provides access to current and past academic catalogs, assists students and alumni with the transcript request process and helps students track their degree progress in conjunction with their academic adviser, making sure all requirements have been met in order to graduate.

Enrollment and Degree Verification

Cornerstone University and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary have authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications. The National Student Clearinghouse can also be contacted by mail: National Student Clearinghouse, 2300 Dulles Station Blvd, Suite 300, Herdon, VA 20171.

Transcript Request

You can request a copy of your transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse. The cost for a transcript request is only $5 per recipient with a $2.50 service fee.

Credit by Exam

Cornerstone grants advanced placement or college credit on the basis of examination. A maximum of 30 credit hours earned by CLEP, Advanced Placement (AP), DSST and/or International Baccalaureate (IB) may be applied toward a degree program. You are encouraged to verify the equivalent course with the Registrar’s Office prior to taking one of the exams.

Dean's List

Congratulations to our Dean’s List students! At the end of each fall and spring semester, the Dean’s List is published. In order to qualify for the Dean’s Lists, students must earn a 3.5 G.P.A. for that semester, be enrolled as a full-time student and must have completed all course work by the last day of the semester.

Exam Schedule

Traditional Undergraduate

Examination times are determined by the day/time the class is scheduled during the semester and exams will be given in the same classrooms used for class during the semester. If you are scheduled for four or more exams in one day, or if you have two or more exams scheduled for the same time, discuss this with the professors involved and arrange an acceptable exam time within exam week.

If you have a class that does not seem to fit the schedule, discuss the situation with the professor, who will determine the exam time. Please do not make end-of-the-semester travel arrangements that conflict with your final exams.

Grand Rapids Theological Seminary

Examination times are determined by the day/time the class is scheduled during the semester. Friday classes are an exception. Exams will be given in the same classroom used during the semester. If you are scheduled for three or more exams in one day, or if you have two or more exams scheduled for the same time, discuss this with the professors involved and arrange an acceptable exam time within exam week.

All exceptions to the schedule below must be arranged with your professors ahead of time. Please do not make end-of-the-semester travel arrangements that conflict with your final exams.

Student Directory FERPA Release

In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended, it is necessary for Cornerstone officials to obtain written consent from a student prior to releasing information from the student’s financial record to most sources outside the university. FERPA policy also allows the release of directory information.

Directory information as identified by includes:

Name.
Dates of attendance.
Address.
Degrees and awards.
Email address.
Cumulative hours.
Phone number.
Major field of study.
Date and place of birth.
Participation in officially recognized sports.
Weight and height of athletes.
As an enrolled student, you have the right to restrict the release of directory information. Use this form only if you do not want the information listed above released. All requests must be submitted within the first week of classes. This request will remain in effect until written notification is given to release information.

All requests for non-disclosure of directory information will be accommodated. Carefully consider the consequences of your decision to withhold directory information. If you decide that Cornerstone should not release directory information, all requests for such information from persons or organizations (prospective employers, scholarship opportunities, etc.) not specifically sanctioned by Cornerstone and federal regulation will be refused, regardless of the effect on you, and Cornerstone assumes no liability for honoring the request.
