Aleka Thrash is an enrollment counselor for Cornerstone University's Professional & Graduate Studies. As a counselor, she helps guide and encourage prospective and incoming students to make informed decisions about degree opportunities. Prior to joining the enrollment team in 2017, Aleka served at CU Campus Safety as switchboard operator and dispatcher for eight years.
Aleka encourages readers to take care of yourself both inside and out through her lifestyle blog, NaturallyACT. She is also the co-founder of Kinky Hair Connection, which is an annual event to help girls embrace who they are. With 10 years of experience in photography, she inspires others through her company, ACT PhotoMedia. In addition, Aleka serves Grand Rapids Business Leaders Linked to Encourage New Directions as a committee member and facilitator of a workshop in digital marketing.
Whether through writing, leading, photographing—and especially in working with students as enrollment counselor—Aleka is passionate about empowering people to be the best they can be.
