As executive assistant to the president, Beth Longjohn assists Dr. Stowell with his schedule, correspondence and meetings with the cabinet and board of trustees. Beth has worked with Dr. Stowell for over a span of 25 years. She is a Chicago native and alum of Moody Bible Institute, where she met her husband, Dr. Gerald Longjohn, Cornerstone University's vice president for Student Development. They have two young adult sons, Owen and Micah.
"Working at Cornerstone matters because it is a life-enriching experience. It's an opportunity for me to serve God by utilizing the administrative skills that He has given me, and in turn, my life is enriched by the students, staff and faculty in this Christ-centered campus community."
In 2015, Beth completed her master's degree from Cornerstone's Professional and Graduate Studies, and she serves as an adjunct instructor for select online business courses. In addition, she and Gerald co-lead an international business study trip to Dubai every two years for undergrad students.
