Scott Morter earned his B.R.E. from Cornerstone University in 1983. In 1995, he received his M.B.A. from the Seidman School of Business at Grand Valley State University. He currently has his DBA-ABD in finance at Anderson University. Professor Morter is a full-time professor at Cornerstone University, teaching courses in corporate finance, principles of finance, investments, money and banking, securities brokerage, insurance and risk management, real estate management and investment, management of financial institutions and entrepreneurship. Professor Morter also oversees all business department internships. He is a member of the Christian Business Faculty Association and the Midwest Finance Association.
Aside from teaching, Professor Morter is a registered investment advisor and owner of Morter Investment Management LLC. He serves on the board at Lake Ann Camp, works as a mission trip coordinator at West Cannon Baptist Church and serves as an investment coordinator for the Northview Education Foundation. He enjoys hiking and has climbed to the highest point in 29 states.
