Mark: Ministry & Bible

The Art of Learning.

"I have loved the opportunity to grow into adulthood. I feel like I have learned the art of learning. I plan to ride my bicycle across America this fall to raise money for a freshwater well in Africa. After that, I plan on going to seminary to get an MA in counseling."

-Mark, Class of '13

After high school, Mark joined Youth With A Mission, which took him to Los Angeles and the country of Morocco. Afterward, his desire to enroll in a solid ministry program led him to CU, where he eventually double-majored in The Art of Ministry and Bible. Mark hails from Petoskey, Mich., so Grand Rapids was a desirable location for college, as he wanted to stay close to family. In addition to his heart for Jesus and desire to pursue counseling, Mark is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys biking, backpacking, and "any sort of adventuring." Being a talented baseball player, Mark was thrilled to have the opportunity to play for the Golden Eagles during the first men's baseball season since the '90s.
