Donald Perini graduated from Biola University with a B.A. in Christian Education. He went on to earn his M.A. in Apologetics from Talbot Seminary and his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from National University. Don in an associate professor of Ministry and Creativity at Cornerstone University.
Perini believes that the most effective way to prepare his students for ministry is to engage in useful projects, emerging documentation and personal mentoring. He enjoys developing students’ interests, honoring their ministry skills and encouraging them to push their ministry into new directions. Perini empowers students to seek emotional health in their lives so that they are better equipped to help others. His goal is to unleash each student’s creative potential in order to redeem the world through their creative acts. Perini received the Teacher of the Year Award at Cornerstone University in 2006 and Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers in 2004 and 2005.
Before becoming a professor, Perini served as a Student Ministries Pastor, Sports Pastor, Young Adult Pastor and Creative Arts Director. He founded two organizations, Verge and The Orange Room. Perini has created four games, all of which have been published by Game Addicts, published multiple articles and written a book entitled “Emerge.”
Outside of work, Perini enjoys spending time with his family, playing European board games and mountain biking. He loves writing screenplays, children’s books and non-fiction. Perini and his wife enjoy having students to their home for a meal and party games.
