Dr. Fryling teaches various chemistry courses, advises students pursuing a career in medicine, and oversees the Kinesiology, Science and Math Division. His professional interests include synthetic organic chemistry of natural products, synthesis and testing of energetic materials, and chemical education. He is the recipient of the Joint Meritorious Service Medal. Dr. Fryling’s publications are listed below.

Dr. Fryling is a self-proclaimed news junkie and enjoys discussing creation and evolution issues. He also enjoys board and computer games. One of his previous jobs involved building structures in the desert and then blowing them up.
