Scott Morter earned his B.R.E. from Cornerstone University in 1996. In 2006, he received his M.B.A. from the Seidman School of Business at Grand Valley State University. Morter is a full-time professor at Cornerstone University, teaching courses in corporate finance, principles of finance, investments, money and banking, securities brokerage, insurance and risk management, real estate management and investment, management of financial institutions and entrepreneurship. Morter also oversees all business department internships. He is a member of the Christian Business Faculty Association and the Midwest Finance Association. Aside from teaching, Morter is also head coach of the Women’s Golf team.

Outside of work, Morter serves on the board at Lake Ann Camp, works as a mission trip coordinator at West Cannon Baptist Church and serves as an investment coordinator for the Northview Education Foundation. Morter enjoys hiking and has climbed to the highest point in 29 states.
