More about Taylor:

Why did you choose CU?

I choose CU because it honestly "felt right" when I visited campus. The chapel time and chatting with students truly made me feel like this is where I belong.

Who is your favorite professor at CU?

Don Perini. He deeply cares for his students in and out of the class room.

Are you involved in any leadership positions?

I am the Cornerstone University student body president for 2013-14.

Share a fun fact about yourself:

Growing up, I wanted to be a meteorologist.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I love checking out coffee shops around GR, watching movies on Netflix with friends, and playing guitar.

How would you describe community life at CU?

Community life at CU is very intentional. The freshman dorms are great at planning hall events to meet new people and embrace this stage in life. At the same time, the apartments teach you the responsibility of living on your own.

What did God teach you last semester?

God has been teaching me the importance of balance. I was involved in a lot things and He showed me how to dedicate the appropriate amount of time to each task.

What’s your favorite thing about CU?

I appreciate the overall character that administration and faculty share. They are very approachable and care about students far beyond what their responsibilities require.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is Spiritual Formation. It is typically quiet enough that you can get homework done easily, but you can also socialize with friends.

What are you looking forward to most about the new school year?

I will be marrying my fiancé, whom I met at CU, in August and I am excited for all of the new aspects of college life that this year will bring.

What was your favorite thing about Terra Firma?

I loved Terra Firma and had such a great group of students that I was apart of. We all were a little nervous about college and were looking to meet new people and make new friends. This group helped me to have an excellent college experience.

Many students are shocked by the sticker price of CU. How has financial aid helped make CU a possibility for you?

Financial Aid is a huge reason of why I am able to be here. It is extremely generous and shows a great care for students from donations of others.

How did you pick your major?

Business is something that I have always been passionate about and can be used in almost every field. I saw it as the perfect balance between my passions and strengths.
