The Story is Your Story
“Being raised in a family that taught/encouraged the Bible daily, I figured The Story would be more of a review of things I already knew. But The Story helped give me a whole new view on scripture in its entirety.”
– Brianna Sterken
"The Story really brought together a diverse group of men, and got us discussing the Bible in a very deep way. It was a springboard for meaningful fellowship."
– Ian Drobish
"A uniquely intriguing experience of the Bible in a narrative form."
– Nathaniel Ebersole
"The Story doesn’t cover every nook and cranny but it definitely covers things that are in the Bible that I had never noticed before until it was put into story form. I find myself reading The Story more like a love letter to me from God than strictly information.”
– Alexiana Stump
"A great experience that also brought me closer to a lot of guys I wouldn't otherwise know."
– Bryce Sack
"After diving into The Story I feel so much more connected to Christ and His teaching. The Story challenges me and allows me to ask questions and gives me answers to things I never thought I would discover.”
– Leah Van Boxel
It's Not Your Grandma's Bible Study
Cornerstone welcomes you to join a community-wide initiative to engage with "The Story" on our campus. Beginning fall 2013, the spiritual formation department will offer a campus-wide reading of "The Story" – a condensed, chronological version of the NIV Bible compiled into one novel-like book.
This big-picture look at the Bible involves students, alumni, faculty and staff and caters to an individual's time, meeting place and group member preferences to establish a sense of community and a learning environment where one generation can learn from another. From traditional discussion groups to artistic response, from the residence-hall setting to the lunch room table, there's a unique spot for you.
Think you'd make a good leader? Applications to facilitate a group currently are being accepted. Contact Spiritual Formation for more information.
Interested in joining a group? More information on groups will be provided at the beginning of the Fall 2013 semester. Follow Cornerstone University Student Government and Cornerstone University Activities Board on Facebook for updates.
