Along with their rigorous pursuit of knowledge and excellence in their fields, CU professors put their students' education first, pushing them to higher levels of learning and intellect.

Bible, Religion & Ministry

  • Dr. Jonathan Marko
    Dr. Marko completed a peer reviewed publication called "Above Reason Propositions and Contradiction in the Religious Thought of Robert Boyle," Forum Philosophicum 19, no. 2 (2014). Dr. Marko also presented "John Locke and the Freedom of the Will" at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS).


  • Lawrence Bos
    Congratulations to Prof. Bos who has been awarded the NAIA Wally Schwartz Faculty Athletics Representative of the Year!

  • Rachel Hammond, M.M.
    Prof. Hammond presented at the Unite for Equality: Women in Leadership Conference at Western Michigan University on April 10, 2015. Her break-out session presentation was entitled "Encouraging Gender Diversity from the Boardroom to the Trenches." Prof. Hammond also spoke on "A Human Resource Roadmap for Women" at the Taking our Seat at the Table conference on April 11, 2015 at Calvin College and was appointed an Executive Summary Judge for the 2015 MWest Challenge, West Michigan’s Regional Business Plan Competition.

  • Dr. Brad Stamm
    Dr. Stamm received a grant in economic development from the Acton Institute in "Mini-Grants on Free Market Economics: Scholarship & Teaching." Dr. Stamm also published an article in the Grand Rapids Business Journal on January 16, 2015 entitled "Forecast: a new age of wealth and poverty."

Communication & Media

  • Randy Miller
    Prof. Miller was accepted as a full member of Audio Engineering Society (AES).

  • Kathy Sindorf, M.A.
    Prof. Sindorf and her husband, Joe, taught Church Media for a week in Cali, Colombia as a part of the COICOM conference for pastors, media directors, and communication church workers.

Kinesiology, Science & Mathematics

  • Dr. Nigel Crompton
    Dr. Crompton presented at the "Science & Faith" Biology Conference in Stuttgart, Germany March 2015. In addition, he presented a poster of his research on radiation oncology at the Integrated Course in Biology and Physics of Radiation Oncology conference in May 2015.

  • Dr. Rob Keys
    On March 21, 2015, Dr. Keys presented at the National Science Education Conference in Chicago, IL.

Teacher Education

  • Dr. Kerisa Myers
    Dr. Myers co-authored an article entitled "Impact of campus child care director leadership and activities on the internal success and integration of the campus center" for the Journal of Early Childhood Research.
