Money is an emotional topic to discuss with friends and family. While money-related talks can lead to feelings of anxiety, excitement or stress, an honest conversation about your finances can give you clarity about the steps required to achieve your long-term goals.
The Ron Blue Center at Cornerstone University provides educational resources and practical tools to guide you in stewarding money with confidence and, more importantly, biblical financial wisdom. Established in partnership with the Ron Blue Institute, our business faculty and staff teach you to understand and apply financial concepts from the perspective of a Christian worldview. As a result, you are empowered to make wise financial decisions during your college years and after graduation.
Biblical Financial Planning Services
Based on the narrative of Scripture, Ron Blue's articulation of biblical financial wisdom and relevant research, we help you simplify your approach to personal finance, money management and stewardship.
Freeing you to live within your means, manage the cost of education and give generously, the Ron Blue Center at Cornerstone University:
- Introduces personal finance resources in first-year orientation for traditional undergraduate students. In a small group, you will complete a workbook entitled "Simplifying the Money Conversation" and learn to define four areas of financial wisdom.
- Integrates biblical financial principles in traditional undergraduate course work. Cornerstone's Personal Financial Planning course utilizes Ron Blue's Biblical Financial Planning textbook. The Ron Blue Institute is also developing a supplemental Biblical Financial Principles teaching series that will be incorporated throughout the finance curriculum in 2019.
- Advances thought leadership in relation to biblical financial stewardship through on-campus seminars and workshops.
Cornerstone is home to the only Ron Blue Center in West Michigan. Its launch is funded by Eastbrook Homes and area financial professionals. To learn more about how you can partner with the Ron Blue Center at Cornerstone University, email Chris Loiselle, assistant professor of business.
