Anticipating the start of your online course or program with Cornerstone University? Great! Because we have prepared a comprehensive student orientation to help prepare you.
Before starting the CU Online Student Orientation, begin by checking to ensure that your computer meets the minimum requirements. A week before your program is set to begin, set your password to activate your Cornerstone University account. Once your account has been activated, you can logon to access your orientation materials. See below for instructions.
Check your Computer
Verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for online learning. If you are unsure whether your browser meets the minimum requirements you can take a look at the Online Course Support System Tune-Up. The system tune-up reports on whether certain browser functions or plugins are enabled on your computer.
If your computer does not meet the minimum requirements, you may experience significant difficulty completing your course work and interacting with your classmates and professor. Please take the time and seek assistance as necessary to update your computer hardware and/or software to meet the minimum requirements.
Logon to Start your Online Student Orientation
All first-time online students at Cornerstone University must complete the mandatory Online Student Orientation. To access the orientation you must logon to Moodle, which is Cornerstone University’s Online Learning Environment. Once your account has been activated, logon to https://moodle.cornerstone.edu/. Once logged on, select the Orientation for Online Students course to begin your orientation.
It typically takes a few hours to complete the orientation. The orientation does not have to be completed all in one day. Spread it out over a few days and take your time, so that you become familiar and at ease with the technology and the new learning environment. Do plan your time so that you complete the orientation by the end of the first week of your program.
