Free Tuition Expands Through the Cornerstone Commitment Grant for 2024/25
Free college tuition at Cornerstone University is an added reason for 2024 high school graduating seniors and their families in Michigan to celebrate. Though we are one of the most affordable private Christian universities nationally through our 22% lowered Tuition Reset initiative, we are now expanding our free-tuition partnership with the state of Michigan through our enhanced Cornerstone Commitment Grant.
What does that mean for 2024 graduating seniors in Michigan? Cornerstone is excited to extend our partnership with the state of Michigan to allow more students to achieve their college degrees. All families with demonstrated financial need who are Pell Grant recipients can now receive the Cornerstone Commitment Grant and pay no out-of-pocket tuition when they enroll at Cornerstone. More good news. Applying is free and admissions remain open to make sure students can start their tuition-free Christ-centered college journey this fall!
This grant covers the remaining cost of tuition for students who receive a Pell grant, Michigan Tuition Grant and the maximum Michigan Achievement Scholarship. Eligible new on-campus students will be awarded a combination of scholarships and grants (free gift aid) which will cover the full cost of tuition.
To be considered for the Cornerstone Commitment Grant, students who meet the eligibility criteria must apply, be admitted and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (https://studentaid.gov/fafsa) by July 1, 2024. For students who do not qualify for the full Cornerstone Commitment Grant program, Cornerstone has reallocated $350,000 in additional need-based scholarships.
Why should every Michigan graduating senior apply today to make Cornerstone University your college home in Fall 2024? An accredited, high-quality private Christian education is more affordable than you might think. Cornerstone reset and lowered fall 2024 tuition by 22% making it significantly more affordable than many of the nation’s private colleges and just as affordable as many public colleges in Michigan.
What is the status of current Financial Aid Packages? We are in the early stages of mailing financial aid packages to incoming students who filed a FAFSA. At this time, we hope to have all financial aid packages mailed to families who submitted their FAFSA to Cornerstone by the end of April.
Let us help you today! Our Admissions Counselors are making one-on-one appointments by phone or in person to walk every student through the enrollment and financial aid processes. This personalized approach to discussing financial aid is a helpful way for families to finalize college decisions.
