Online Student Experience

Cornerstone University understands students will choose an online learning experience for a variety of reasons. Chief among them, is the need for flexibility while balancing school with family, careers and personal commitments. We understand your desire to learn and grow in a Christ-centered educational environment is only one aspect of your daily life. Over 90% of Cornerstone online students are working full time.

Faculty Support

At Cornerstone, our faculty know their subject matter and they know what matters to you—which is more than a two-dimensional text-book oriented class. Our professors bring real world experience and passion for their discipline and connect it to the skills you need to expand your influence as leaders in industry and ministry.

Technology Support

Online students at Cornerstone receive access to a tremendous suite of software and programs to enhance the learning experience. Educational technology has expanded exponentially in the last few years and learning from a distance is no longer a second-best option but the preferred way of learning for many students. Cornerstone utilizes best-in-class support for students in communication tools, portals with resources at your fingertips 24/7 and staff to troubleshoot the unexpected glitches.

Academic Support

Many students who choose online learning have been out of school for a season and need help using their “academic muscles” again. Our dedicated staff of academic advisers and retention specialists provide writing workshops, tutoring and academic coaching for study skills and time management. Likewise, online students have access to thousands of digital resources in our library and librarians ready to provide in-person and virtual research support for your assignments.

Career Preparation

Whether you are looking to change careers or advance within your current field, online students will find deliberate application from course work to career. Additionally, Cornerstone offers a wealth of resources for students to practice skills in networking, interviewing and resume preparation. Many programs have internships which can often be completed at your current place of employment.

Spiritual Formation

Students at Cornerstone University are about influencing their world for Jesus Christ in whatever sphere of industry or ministry in which they live and work. We believe we can partner with students’ local churches and ministries to support the spiritual formation and growth of all in our community. Our faculty work closely with Cornerstone’s Office of Spiritual Formation & Christian Community to provide opportunities for online students to make meaningful connections between the course content and a beautiful Christian community.
