Jennifer Filipiak, M.M.E.

Jennifer Filipiak has been in the music classroom since 2005 and currently teaches elementary music at Thornapple Kellogg Schools. She received her Bachelor of Music in music education and vocal performance from Cornerstone University.  She continued her education by getting her Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. She is a certified Orff Schulwerk instructor, having completd all three Orff levels as well as Orff Curriculum & Design and Elemental Composing I and II.  In addition, Jennifer has taken courses in Kodály, Music Learning Theory, and Education Through Music. She has a passion for making music learning purposeful, practical, and playful for her students. Jennifer has presented at workshops throughout the State and has reached music teachers around the world while presenting at The Music Crew Virtual Conferences.
