Dr. Laurie Burgess is the associate professor of teacher education at Cornerstone University. Dr. Burgess’ collaborative nature inspires her to create community in college classrooms. She has given several presentations on this topic as well as the scholarship of teaching and learning in higher education.

Dr. Burgess received her Bachelor of Arts at Calvin University and her Master of Arts in reading from Grand Valley State University. In 2018, she received her Ph.D. in educational leadership in higher education from Western Michigan University.

Dr. Burgess lives with her husband, Chris, and they have three children. In her spare time, Dr. Burgess enjoys reading, cooking and traveling.
