Kelsey Kooistra

Kelsey Kooistra serves as head coach for women’s softball at Cornerstone University. In her role, she has the privilege to lead and encourage the softball team, helping them grow closer to one another and to Christ.

Kelsey studied at Indiana Wesleyan University, where she received her degree in mathematics education. During her time as an undergraduate student, she was a four-year starter for IWU’s softball program. She also won 193 career games, the most in IWU’s history. Before joining Cornerstone’s coaching staff, she taught middle and high school math at Northern Michigan Christian schools, where she was also the volleyball, basketball and softball coach.

In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her nephews, hunting, fishing and hanging out with family and friends.
