Student Scholarships

Your tax-deductible contribution toward student scholarships allows Cornerstone University to offer programs, resources and experiences that help our students achieve their dreams and receive biblically-based guidance for their calling.

Our Student Scholarship Fund allows us to provide an affordable Christ-centered college experience for each student. In addition to reducing the cost of tuition for each student, the fund contributes to overall operating costs, enhances student life programs, provides necessary resources for CU students to excel in the classroom and sustains a quality campus environment.

Types of Scholarships

Endowed scholarships require a minimum commitment of $21,000, which can be made in a single contribution or over several years. Interest earned is awarded as scholarships so that the scholarship will impact future generations of Cornerstone students.

Athletic Scholarships

Athletic scholarships are awards are based on proven athletic ability. Scholarship criteria may be obtained by contacting the athletic director or our coaching staff.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships require a minimum commitment of $10,000, which can be made in a single contribution or over several years. Contributions to an endowment are never spent, so endowed scholarships remain in perpetuity.

Memorial Scholarships

The establishment of a memorial scholarship is a fitting way to honor someone close to you or someone who has had an influence on your life. A memorial scholarship can be established in another person’s name.

Restricted Scholarships

In case $21,000 is not available to begin an endowed scholarship, you may begin a restricted scholarship with a gift of any amount, usually no less than $1,000. 100% of these gifts are awarded according to the scholarship criteria.

Traditional Undergraduate Student Scholarships

At Cornerstone University, scholarships help ensure that a Christian higher education experience remains affordable for traditional undergraduate students. Through the generosity of donors, we are able to offer memorial scholarships, athletic scholarships, academic scholarships and more.

To learn more about an established scholarship and review its criteria, contact the Advancement Office by calling 616.254.1668. Or, if giving an online gift toward a scholarship fund, be sure to indicate the name of the scholarship at the time of your gift.
