Cornerstone University’s 91.3 WCSG Celebrates 50 years and counting with record breaking listenership

Congratulations to the entire 91.3 WCSG radio team for 50 years of top-ranked excellence as a leading Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) station and for continuing to set new records in 2023!

WCSG continues the #1 rated winning streak in first quarter 2023 among all stations in West Michigan including: highest recorded ratings among women 12+ and highest total listeners in WCSG’s history. In 2022, 91.3 WCSG was the top rated radio station with over 200,000 weekly listeners, surpassing all competitors in West Michigan. This CCM overall achievement in any market has only ever been attained by four or five stations nationally.

“To see our listenership and influence grow over the last 50 years has been exciting!” said Alicia Wyant, executive director of 91.3 WCSG. “Our focus is on providing an encouraging Christian Community, and our growth reflects our passionate investment in our listeners and mission.” WCSG kicked off its 50 years and counting year-long celebration during its Spring Days of Giving fundraiser, with over 1200 listener families becoming involved. Other events include a special gala evening featuring artist Brandon Heath and a 50th celebration concert at VanAndel arena featuring MercyMe, Crowder and Andrew Ripp. Many other exciting events are planned throughout 2023.
