Tina Worrall has served as director of Alumni Relations at Cornerstone University since September 2023.
Worrall attended Grand Rapids Baptist College from 1991-95, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both communications and psychology. Straight out of college and ready to change the world, she started her career at Wedgwood Christian Services, which became the launching pad for many years in the social services field. Much of her career has been focused on program management and development for local organizations, educational institutions and government entities. Although a macro thinker, she’s never lost sight of her love of teaching and motivating youth and young adults directly and has fostered this love in settings such as schools, camps, church groups, and treatment facilities.
In 2014, she dusted off her communications degree to serve as Network180’s communication coordinator for the Community Family Partnership for six years. This gave her the opportunity to tell the stories of youth and families and develop her skills in social marketing. During her time at N180, her team won 21 Excellence in Communications and Community Outreach awards from the federal government, 11 of which she served as project lead.
Beyond her expertise in social service and educational arenas, Worrall has also spent more recent years in consulting roles for small businesses, focusing on strategic marketing — a passion that began after she graduated from SpringGR in 2019.
No matter where life has taken her, she’s grateful God laid out a path that led her back to the very college campus where she started her vocational journey.
Although she calls Rockford home, in her down time you’ll often find her around a campfire in the Upper Peninsula with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys watching Detroit Tigers baseball, local history, a good potluck, reruns of “I Love Lucy,” icy cold Diet Coke and roping her daughters into helping with CU events.
“Few places have had the kind of impact on my life that Cornerstone has had. I feel honored to be able to connect with fellow alumni and give back to a place that’s given me so much over the years, not the least of which are lasting relationships and convictions.”
