Admissions Pop-Up Events

Winter has arrived in Michigan, and we want to enjoy the season with you! Current high school seniors and prospective transfer students are invited to join us around the Grand Rapids area for a variety of seasonal activities, including a drive-thru campus tour. Check back regularly for updates!

Registration details are available below. Additional event details and information, including parking recommendations, will be emailed to registered students prior to the event. Please note that all events are weather permitting.

Cornerstone University staff will be following the mask and social distancing requirements for all businesses. If a mask policy has not been established, masks will continue to be strongly recommended.

Drive-Thru Campus Tour | Wednesday, Jan. 20

Tour our beautiful winter campus from the warmth of your vehicle! You’ll be provided with a map of your route to drive through campus, including stops along the way where you’ll receive CU swag and important informational items from CU staff. We will permit one car per household. Masks are strongly recommended.

  • Times: 2-3 p.m. or 4-5 p.m. (only select one)
  • Location: Cornerstone main campus | 1001 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525
  • Capacity: 50 students (vehicles) per time slot. Family members are also welcome to attend this event, keeping to one car per household.

Bundle Up With Coffee & Cocoa | Thursday, Jan. 28

Have a coffee, hot chocolate or tea with us! Admissions counselors will be at Sweetland Chocolates & Coffee beginning at 3 p.m. to buy you a drink so you can stay warm while you hang out with future classmates. Plan to dress warmly and comfortably; we’ll be outside for most of this event. Both masks and social distancing are strongly recommended.

Rouge River Hike | Thursday, Feb. 4

Join us for a casual one-mile hike to experience the beauty of God’s creation and get to know your future classmates! This hike will be led by admissions counselors. Plan to dress for the weather and to wear comfortable walking shoes. Both masks and social distancing are strongly recommended.

Cannonsburg Snow Tubing | Thursday, Feb. 4

Grab your snow pants, hat and mittens; it’s time to go snow tubing, our treat! Plan on two hours of tubing at Cannonsburg with other future Golden Eagles and admissions counselors. Both masks and social distancing are strongly recommended.

  • Capacity: 18 students

Important Note: A signed Cannonsburg Tubing Waiver must be completed in order to participate. If students are under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must print and sign the form. Forms will be emailed to registered students to be signed and returned to Cornerstone University. Forms must be submitted by Monday, Feb. 1.

Sand Dune Hike | Thursday, Feb. 11

If you enjoy hiking, grab some comfortable shoes and hit the dunes with us at Coast Guard Park. This more intensive hike will be led by admissions staff and include traversing some hilly sand dunes. Both masks and social distancing are strongly recommended.

Geocaching | Thursday, Feb. 11

Join us for an hour of exploring and geocaching on some local park trails! Admissions counselors will lead the charge. Be sure to dress warmly and bring a fully charged smartphone so you can download the geocaching app before we begin.
